21 .. and Other Favorite Uniform Numbers. What's Yours? by dillon77

I've noticed that both Alli Campbell and Nat Marshall wear #21 in high school; perhaps yet another reason they seem to get along well.

So I was wondering who would get to wear that number at ND, until I went to the Roster site for this year's team and saw that Anaya Peoples has #21. So three of next year's roster was a "21" fan.

Wonder what numbers Alli and Nat will end up choosing.

So, what were/are your favorite numnbers - if any -- to wear or admire and why?

I'll start off:

My favorite number initially was "24," in part because I was a huge Bill Bradley fan when he was on the Knicks. But "24" was a pretty popular number around that time, held be Bradley and Willie Mays among others.
Upperclassmen snapped it up.

So I flipped it to "42," which I later found out was Bradley's number at Princeton. I've worn it thoughout college, corporate and adult leagues.

I've put a link into famous 42's. Amoung the most notable: Jackie Robinson, Mariano Rivera, Ronnie Lott and -- in college basketball -- Brittany Griner.

Anyone else?
