If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.

My Major Issue with a College Coach Heading U.S. Nat'l Team by dillon77

...is that I think the demands of running a major D1 program often get in the way of being available for a lot of the responsibilities of the National Team. Witness the games against the College Teams: Dawn, of course, was busy with South Carolina so Cheryl Reeve (Minnesota Lynx) and Dan Hughes (Seattle Storm) coached the team.

Candidly, I thought Reeve should've gotten the HC job after Geno left. The team is made up of pros and she, as well as Hughes, are stellar coaches and administrators, well versed in personnel. They also know which of the pros handle the international game well.

As for the advantage of having the U.S. National team as a lure for college coaches, I get that with Geno: the "virtuous" circle was tightened and no doubt he took advantage of it. I'm not sure Dawn is there quite yet, but point taken: no college coach should have a chance to forge that advantage over another.
