I was in high school in the South Bend area when Austin was tearing it up at ND, and I went to many of the home games. He was just about as big a hero as you could get for a budding roundballer like I was. I was truly in awe watching him play. One of my best memories was when IU and George Mcginnis came to town and Auggie lit it up for fifty in that big game. Wish I could see some of his games on tape again.
