    Point guard Demetrius Jackson finally pulled the trigger on his long-awaited verbal commitment to Mike Brey’s Fighting Irish. The five-star recruit chose Notre Dame over Illinois, after the Illini made a last-minute push under new coach John Groce, along with Final Four regulars Michigan State and Kansas.

    The Google Hangout with Jack Swarbrick came off well last night, with five participants (including yours truly) providing the conversational fodder for ND’s AD. My questions weren’t as edgy as the last time around, but the purpose is to get good answers, and I think all the panelists accomplished that.

    The Hangout Part Deux

    Technical glitches aside, the Google+ Hangout Jack Swarbrick did back in July was very successful, and gave the electronic community a chance to interact with the ND administration at an unprecedented level.

    Irish Defense Smothers Michigan
