NDNation Banner

Height: 5'10
Weight: 190 lbs.
Alumni Status: Class of 1974
Location:
Favorite Baseball Team: Cubs, then White Sox
Natural Enemies: snakes. On NDNation, those quick to use racist, sexist, homophone and those who use epithets and then whine when it comes back at them.
Athletic Ability:
Was fairly athletic; but my forte in sports was quickness, and my primary focus was defense. While I slow down and lose my defensive edge, all those muthas that had an outside shot can still shoot. And, all those muthas that can launch a softball can still pound it.
Played on a 16" softball team (which included a couple other NDNationals) for 22 years.
Won Interhall championships in baseball, football, 16" softball, 12" softball, touch football. Won dorm championships in touch football, basketball, hall olympics.
As a freshman, played with 3 other freshman and a sophomore that upset the top seeded section team in the dorm playoffs. In doing so, won $100 from the inventor of Bookstore Basketball.
Sartorial Style:
Leather DarylDragon style hat, leather chaps, and a leather wrist band.
On weekend, I switch to a more frilly wardrobe .... to maximize my earning potential.
Favorite Beverage and Consumption Freq:
Harp, room temperature Guinness, and Negra Modelo.
Political Philosophy:
The Pizza Game sucks after you graduate.
Conservative
Religious Philosophy:
Was a lapsed Catholic since high school. Wife is a non-practicing Baptist. Had my kids Baptized Catholic. A couple of years ago, I decided to start attending Sunday mass again. It's not a bad thing, and it forces my kids to get there. I want them to have some background when it's time for them to make a decision about their religion.
Personally, following the Bible would be sufficient for me ....... though I find some of the Catholic rituals extremely rewarding. I've read the entire New Testament and a healthy dose of the Pentateuch.
Musical Favorites:
Beatles - always the Beatles. Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Who, Lord Sutch, Blind Faith, Crash Poet, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Allman Brothers, Derek and the Dominoes to name a few.
Besides rock, I like jazz, blues, reggae, some country, r&b, and lots of Motown. Right now, Marvin Gaye is particular favorite.
I can live on a diet of 60s/70s pop/rock.
Favorite Quote from an ND Coach:
(I'll butcher this.) When you look across the field and see those historic foes and then look at their helmets, try not to laugh.
Miscellaneous Data:
NDNation is a great learning experience and closely resembles the non-classroom education that has made Notre Dame dear to every one who was fortunate enough to attend.
ewill, chzhead, and lisa think I'm a stud. So does kayo.
