Religious Philosophy:		I place reason and science high on my list. I believe that if science and the Bible conflict, you're probably reading the Bible wrong. Unfortunately that seems to leave me on the outside with the "modern" Catholic church. I have trouble believing that an 8 cell blastomere is infused with a soul. Just 150 years ago people didn't consider a woman pregnant until her "quickening" aka some vague nebulous time 16-25 weeks into a pregnancy... I struggle greatly with where to draw the line as life starting, personally, but take umbrage with older male Catholics so definitively drawing that line at sperm hitting egg. It's honestly a bit insulting to consider that a "baby" while turning a blind eye to so much real injustice in the world. This is going to make me controversial here I suppose, so be it.

Miscellaneous Data:		Brother to the late great FHSUIrish. Also brother to OITLinebacker, and my father is also an alum, class of '73 My handle probably sounds stupid... I originally made it to have the most generic sounding handle possible: I knew my brothers posted back here and my parents lurked (back in 2005 or so), but FHSU figured out who I was pretty quickly anyway and ousted me. And now a large portion of this board knows me by name anyway. Which I'm ok with, this place is filled with awesome people, despite the heated discussions I might sometimes get into.
