Height:  5'10 Weight:  190 lbs. Alumni Status:  '91
Location:  Los Angeles Favorite Baseball Team:  The Amazin' Mets
Natural Enemies:  Anybody who doesn't like Notre Dame. (stole this from Oldomer...but it really sums it up.)

Athletic Ability: I was the .220 hitting defensive whiz 2B/SS, phased out by the 30HR-100RBI man. I'm a 4.5 USTA tennis player, used to be a decent golfer (occasionally hit buckets still), and I can still play hoop with the guys in the park despite my advanced age and deficiency of a vertical since birth. I'm also an avid sporting car driver and motorcyclist. I live near the base of Angeles Crest Highway and drive/ride it frequently on deserted early weekend mornings.

Sartorial Style: I am uncomfortable in anything other than jeans, although I clean-up well for funerals and weddings.

Favorite Beverage and Consumption Freq: I like a good half-and-half/black-and-tan, and I usually remember which one not to order in the presence of an Irishman.

A Tanquaray & Tonic when I gotta spend more than I like amongst strangers. Lately, I have taken a liking to sipping good tequilas. And good wine is back; had lost the desire for it for a very long time.

Political Philosophy: Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Religious Philosophy: Catholicism is what I was raised in, but I've been lapsed for a long time. (Sexual abuse scandal and never-ending cover-up was sorta the last straw.)

My wife is Romanian Orthodox (like Old School Catholicism doncha know), and I quite like the idea of sexually-normal, married priests. Duh.

Musical Favorites: Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Interpol, Killers, stuff like that in Rock.

Then, lots of Alt-Country...Jayhawks, Dwight Yoakam, Uncle Tupelo, Ryan Adams, Wilco, Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale, Radney Foster, Foster & Lloyd, etc.

Big Elvis fan since birth (all of it, the skinny rebel through the fatted Vegas calf), and huge Prince fan. (Greatest musician I have ever seen, and it isn't close.)

Favorite Quote from an ND Coach: I want you to save Jimmy Johnson's ass for me. -Lou Holtz

Miscellaneous Data:
I was an ART major(Photography). I worked at the big professional camera store in LA for many years, mainly so I could eat regularly. Feel free to contact me at fdv650@gmail.com to ask me advice or an opinion on digital cameras; if you need general help with imaging and Photoshop, printing or editing images; for image recovery off of bad memory cards, etc. I have written a long post about cameras(TOTALLY outdated by now) that is currently archived in The Back Room Almanac. Please mention ND, and your NDNation handle in subject line if applicable.
