I was the .262 hitting defensive whiz SS & 2B, phased out by the .330,30HR,100 RBI type of middle-infielder. (LOL) I'm a 4.5 USTA tennis player, used to be a decent golfer (occasionally hit buckets still), and I can still play hoop with the guys in the park despite my advanced age and deficiency of a vertical since birth. I'm also an avid sporting car driver and motorcyclist. I live near the base of Angeles Crest Highway and drive/ride it frequently on deserted early weekend mornings.

I am uncomfortable in anything other than jeans, although I clean-up well for funerals and weddings.

I like a good half-and-half/black-and-tan, and I usually remember which one not to order in the presence of an Irishman.
Lately, I have taken a liking to sipping good tequilas.
I have terrible allergy now to sulfites, which usually eliminates all the red wines! I get asthma, throat swells, runny nose, stomach pain, etc. It is an awful development late in life (post having Covid 3 times?); and it has taken a great joy away from me, namely superb red wine.

Catholicism is what I was raised in, but I've been lapsed for a long time. (Sexual abuse scandal (now estimated at 330,000 cases worldwide!!), and the never-ending cover-up and payouts and payoffs and shuffling of the predators around the country from parish to parish.
That absolutely was the last straw. There is a terrible, unspeakable evil that has infiltrated the Savior's church; and to a large extent, the demonic men are all still alive, running the show, and still hiding the demons themselves and keeping them from the law.
My wife is Romanian Orthodox (like Old School Catholicism doncha know), and I quite like the idea of sexually-normal, married priests. Duh.

Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Interpol, Killers, stuff like that in Rock.<p>Then, lots of Alt-Country...Jayhawks, Dwight Yoakam, Uncle Tupelo, Ryan Adams, Wilco, Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale, Radney Foster, Foster & Lloyd, etc.<p>Big Elvis fan since birth (all of it, the skinny rebel through the fatted Vegas calf), and huge Prince fan. (Greatest musician I have ever seen, and it isn't close.)
