Height: 6' 0
Weight: more than I should be lbs.
Alumni Status: Western suburbs of Chicago
Location: 1993 Undergrad
Favorite Baseball Team: 1983 Baltimore Orioles
Natural Enemies: zealots, people who believe they are entitled to their opinion but don't listen to others
Athletic Ability:
I could dunk a volleyball in high school. Played in an adult lacrosse league a few years ago and was happy that the season ended without having any surgeries performed.
Sartorial Style:
In the fall and winter, quarter-zips and jeans. In the spring and summer, shorts and a golf shirt.
Favorite Beverage and Consumption Freq:
Basil Hayden, Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Elijah Craig, Woodford Reserve, or Jameson's Caskmates.
Political Philosophy:
Fiscally conservative. Socially moderate. I like balance in DC and like to see the House, the Senate, and the Presidency split 2-1 between the parties.

In Illinois, I hate the Democratic machine that has destroyed the state.
Religious Philosophy:
Raised Catholic by a Protestant father and Catholic mother while living in a neighborhood that was pretty much equally Christian, Jewish, and Hindu. Have met a lot of good people in my life from all religions. Have met a lot of bad people in my life from all religions. I believe God exists, but think there are many paths to that God.
Musical Favorites:
Led Zeppelin, U2, Springsteen (music pre-2000 but hate his politics), most 1980's one hit wonders
Favorite Quote from an ND Coach:
"It's a great day to be a tiger. I'm here with my family"

Miscellaneous Data:
I love the Notre Dame family. I miss the days of the ND Administration being leaders on important matters, and I don't understand why ND needs such a big endowment that it won't use for more financial aid. But these grievances with the administration do not reduce my affinity for the Notre Dame family.

My oldest son is a recent ND grad and my youngest son is a student at ND and loves it.
