Progressive Democrat, feminist, big supporter of Title IX Currently am serving a 3rd term as Chair of my town's Democratic Committee and am on my 6th year as Chair of my town's Historic District Commission. Joined my town's Democratic Committee in 2003. In 2006, was part of a grassroots Progressive network that helped Ned Lamont overcome a 59 point deficit to defeat then Sen. Joe Lieberman by 4 points in the Democratic Primary. Served on board of CT NOW that year and helped it persuade national NOW to endorse Lamont over Lieberman. NOW was only national feminist group that endorsed Ned Lamont in 2006. Since 1994, have had published many letters-to-the-editor, mostly on political and feminist issues, in Connecticut newspapers(The Hartford Courant, The New London Day, The Norwich Bulletin, The Villager), the South Bend Tribune and a couple in the USA Today. What else do you want us all to know:
Born in Chicago, grew up 60 miles south in the village of Bradley, IL, next to Kankakee, IL. My father an one of my paternal uncles were also ND graduates. Born and raised on cheering for ND teams, but also support the expansion and improvement of women's athletics, especially in my favorite sport of basketball. I was also the first female from my family to attend and graduate from Notre Dame. I also love gardening and working on small wood crafting projects.
