Central is a large HS, and the area has a number of elite club volleyball programs. Candice burst on the scene that year, out-playing or neutralizing a few senior all conference players. She was a dominant hitter/blocker, and only played volleyball that first year, then concentrated on basketball.


First woman to dunk in an NCAA game, I believe. *
