Some years ago I read a story that said conference affiliation for ND especially is about more than football. Duh, I know, but the point if I remember correctly was that it was also about more than other sports and travel costs but also about things like research, libraries and academic sharing and opportunities. My question is, was it true then and is it still true?
Edit: And/or did that change in anyway with the quasi-ACC affiliation?
