Including several key contributors and starting center.
Not meaning to equate the two situations, but the departure numbers are similar.
Two of the 17 were walk-ons.
In this day and age, losing 10-20 players to the portal is the new normal.
And there is still the post spring practice portal when more departures are likely for most teams.
I did see a site that mentioned A&M added 24 players via the portal earlier this year. I also see 5 players have already entered the spring portal which just opened today.
Who thinks we will have a significant fan representation?
It was godawful hot.
ND hung on to win, and I remember leaving the stadium and seeing thousands of empty plastic water bottles.
I cannot imagine what it must have been like to be in uniform that day and playing on the field.
A lot of A&M male cadets were wearing their uniforms in the stands with very nicely dressed young ladies at their sides. The A&M fans were the model of proper decorum.
home opener against ND.
People on their websites don't even consider ND to be one of their top challenges. They are much more worried about LSU, Alabama, Mizzou and Florida.

Realistically, they haven’t been relevant in a national sense since the Wrecking Crew days.
To put in the proper perspective, they’ve had 1 season with double digit wins in 20 years.
One.
They are a delusional fan base but will be incredibly nice to us.
They are very delusional, but I admire their school spirit. And you are correct that they are not obnoxious to their opponents.
I worked with a handful of them when I was working for a company based out of Texas. In almost all respects, they’re one of the most rock solid groups of people you’ll ever meet. Smart, independent, hard working. But when it comes to their football team, they’re fully delusional.
They honestly believe that they’re an elite program just waiting to happen.
About Texas A&M. Had the Aggies ever come calling for his services, Davie would have been out of ND in a New York minute. Talk about missed opportunities.
It's easy to spell.
pick USC over UCLA. “It’s easier to spell”.
I wish I still had it as I will be in College Station for the opener.
He never could fully grasp the concept of the ampersand.
Tim Brown's towel. The dirty bastards.
We ought to have a significant advantage in terms of team cohesion.
