Trump will be his own VP, just like Dwight Schrute *

Constitutionally not possible

You can't have a president and vice president from the same state. Trump is registered in Florida. He's not changing his registration back to New York for Ron DeDantis.

Edit: as Manor76 below states, the restriction is on the electors in that state.

I think Manor is correct on this

The restriction only applies to the electors from that particular state.

Looked it up further, yes, he is correct

Ya learn something new on this board every day. Sometimes what you learn is even useful.

But can he win without Florida's electoral votes? *

Not to mention DeSantis has proven to be a horrible campaigner where people like him less when they meet him. Pretty much the opposite of what the VP should do.

FL electors could vote for Trump, but not Desantis *

Probably promised both Scott and DeSantis

And they’re both fools to believe him.

What state will Trump be "from"?

NY or FL? Ifb it's FL, Desantis can't be on the ticket.

I think that Florida can’t cast its electoral votes for a

The other 49 states could vote for 2 Floridians

But not 2 from their own state.

He’s disloyal, DJT does not tolerate disloyalty. He’s going to pick a sycophant.

That was my first thought.

Otherwise, why would he endorse Trump so soon.

Looks like they will be in the control room of the Titanic together, giving each other high fives and ordering caviar and champagne as they head out of Southampton on their date with destiny.

I agree. His 6-10% pretty much seals the deal for DJT. *
