You can't have a president and vice president from the same state. Trump is registered in Florida. He's not changing his registration back to New York for Ron DeDantis.

Edit: as Manor76 below states, the restriction is on the electors in that state.

The restriction only applies to the electors from that particular state.

Not to mention DeSantis has proven to be a horrible campaigner where people like him less when they meet him. Pretty much the opposite of what the VP should do.
