Based on all of the others that were overturned, it probably should have been as well as the "evidence" was about the same on all 4...
Ref had a bad angle and should not have assumed what he didn't actually see.
face in the first half that went uncalled. One clearly met the definition of roughing and one didn't not, but it was called the other way around.
That could just as easily have been called defensive holding. Compared to the blatant pick by KC on the touchdown play that caused Belichick to throw his tablet...but it was called the other way around.
Oh, and there was blatant uncalled PI on the play with the admittedly phantom roughing the passer. So the wrong thing got called but the right result happened on that play.
Those refs were horrible both ways
In fact, I'm shocked they actually used logic when evaluating the Edelman non-touch.
There is a black shadow that the ball gets lost in, you can't see the ball move, and you see the ball secured on the interior fore arm, which makes it possible that the ball had stopped descending as the body was turned.
Compared to the Hogan catch, which was probably like 70 percent likely that he caught it so an obvious call stands, I'd call this one a toss up. The call should've stood.
Refs frequently assume the ball hit the ground based on poor angles in which it is not at all clear a ball hit the ground.
poor management and terrible product.
