I quite like American/English ham, but it’s not a food I’d choose for a holiday dinner. I will eat prosciutto and Serrano ham any day, any time, in any quantity I can get.

Roast pork roast, pork chop, tenderloin all amazing. If you need to cure the meat make it sausage or bacon, ham is just not good.
