For All Mankind fans - what did you think of season finale?

Spoilers, obviously.

I like the continued work on the hard science problem of getting them back to the Phoenix. That has more elements of the first season with stuff on the moon, and one of my favorite parts of the show is the real challenge of space travel and exploration.

The interpersonal drama has gotten a little over the top - my wife makes fun of my "soap opera for men". I thought it was an unrealistic character development for everyone to instantly be okay with Ellen coming out as gay. Ed - a very conservative guy by all accounts, a Korean war veteran nearing 70 - literally said "way to go, Ellen". And the Russian guy who a few months ago was afraid he was going to get AIDS is now hugging Will? That's a lot of assumed character development. Aleida's hatred for the FBI goes so deep that she's now going to - what? cover up for Margo? Burn all the documents?

And finally, the Korean astronaut on Mars is a fun cliffhanger, but will leave a lot of explanation to do next season.
