The search is eerily quiet.

I fear the top tier candidates have rebuffed Jack and he is without a f'n clue on what to do next.

Kendall Rogers posted about the search last night. Said Scott Jackson removed his name. He indicated their are two candidates right now, but need D1Baseball premium account to see the full story. Anyone care to share who he thinks are the two top candidates?

I am not blown away by any of the names mentioned. My negativity has been born out of Jack's history of hiring and his complete mismanagement or incompetent oversight of the Notre Dame baseball program. so he does deserve some credit for assembling the roster that made it to the last game of the CWS. I don't know how good of a head coach he would be, but he was a college teammate of their head coach Bakich and has coached with him for years. I suspect that he would recruit well and at least coach the fundamentals soundly.

And not complain that he's stuck at a Northern school

My number one guess is Eric Snider from Louisville. *

That would be a really really really good hire.
