I'm a Bears fan, but not at the expense of ND. Heistand is big time. Well respected by his peers in college and the NFL.

He hugely blew *

then you're an idiot.

And that lines up with everything that we've seen.

Wow! What a cutting edge, insightful opinion. It's so cool

...He was OL coach for the part of the season when #33 was tearing it up as well as for the last part of the season. What changed--did HH have a mini-stroke or get hypnotized by a mesmerist on the Wake sideline? Or was there a change in playcalling from above that didn't mesh with HH's coaching of the OL? A tertium quid?

Actually, "quid" is a good word to use here for the 2018 program, as is, "quid habemus?" (Whatta we got?)

Well done *

And probably easier to retain with a nice raise than a DC.

Assuming that he's old enough to not be prime pickings to get a coordinator job. I wonder what the pay difference is and how hard Kelly tried to keep him.

This is a bigger blow than Elko.

Rumors before he signed....

That the Bears were going to make him the highest paid OL coach in the NFL.

I have no doubt that ND flinched.

reportedly between $2.5- 3 million per year. So think somewhere in that range.

Then ND had no shot. *

That is a huge deal. From his point of view, this is the perfect time for him to leave.

oh yeah - that's big if true

and - hard to fault a guy for wanting to lock in that pension

it's tragic that ND wasted the best position coach since joe moore to this head coach and his rinky dink offense

at least he's going to bears - will be fun to see what howard and cohen can do behind HH coached OL
