A more difficult recruiting environment.The new staff worked really hard and averted an all out disaster, but we could have done so much better with a 10-2, or even a 9-3 season. Winning counts, especially with elite recruits.
10-3, 10-3, 10-3...now we'd start to look like a consistent program, and to your point, maybe we would start to get some 5* studs to get us over the top. But inconsistent fundamentals, break downs in S&C, game plans too heavily focused on QB decision making and precision throws v. beating up inferior opponents...
Agreed the staff has stepped up recruiting, but, if we have the right person that should have been the case starting in year 2 or 3 at the latest. Not a concern in year 8.
