I don't know much about Vegas but I guess I thought these kinds of odds were just put out for fun or to get an oddsmaker or casino some free publicity. Can you actually place a bet on these odds at a casino? If so, what's to stop an athlete from making his transfer decision, withhold announcing it and then having a family member go to Vegas and place a huge bet? I don't think there are any insider trading rules that apply.
Personally, I don't really care what other people do with their money, so long as it's not harmful to me or my loved ones.
