Thirty miles outside of London and an easy train ride. The Fat Duck probably remains the best fine dining experience of my life (I chose those words carefully - the experience at the Fat Duck is more than just the food on the plate). I am remiss that I never made it to the Waterside Inn, also in Bray - the longest tenured Michelin 3-star restaurant outside France.

The food in London and environs is phenomenal. I worked from 2016-2019 for a company headquartered just outside of London and visited 6+ times/year. I was lucky enough to hit a good chunk of the Michelin starred restaurants. I’ve never eaten better in any other city. Surprisingly, Mexico City is probably second on my list. I spent a ton of time there but it also has a surprisingly good fine dining scene.
