No friggin way!

Our galaxy is approximately 100,000 light years in diameter. It’s estimated that there are up to 200 billion stars in our galaxy.

36 is way too low. I think that there are millions of civilizations out there just in The Milky Way alone, and at on least one of them the doppelgängers of Coach Baer and jt are best friends and the doppelgänger of Tyrone Willingham has won multiple national championships at the doppelgänger of Notre Dame.

with all these predictions. It's a hard hurdle to jump, but I still take solace in the fact that we've only really had the tech to contact another civilization for what 50-70 years?

Besides, we need to set up a recruiting pipeline for one of those super Earths. Can you imagine the measurables of someone who grew up on a planet with 1.4 G?
