as circumstances change. I assume that if circumstances change for the worse, the games may not actually get played.

Not clear to me that the late start will hurt the Big 10

If it doesn't hurt the league a lot, then it's not a big screw-up.

I haven't been following closely, so there could be more transfer, practice, recruiting problems or other negatives than I aware of.
