He does mention to the Alabama booster audience that Bama football would benefit if the folks in the crowd would utilize Bama players to help market their businesses but is quick to add "but then you'll come to the game crowing about how you sponsored Player X, and then he doesn't play and transfers and you'll never do that again (Paraphrasing)."

A few additional idbits:
- only 25 Alabama players received NIL money last year, totaling $3M.

- NIL should be player/agent driven, not school-driven like collectives where the coach knows what money has been pooled together by alums and uses it to funnel $ to players.

-paying players would likely mean they'd have to shut down other sports.

-NCAA can't enforce its rules because of litigation (Cites transfer immediate eligibility rule).

-Alabama is losing in-state recruits because kids have their hands out wanting to know what Alabama will pay them compared to other schools.

- states college should be to develop as a person, get a degree, and develop for a career in NFL if that's an option.
