Since TV money is behind the realignment, here is each school's average viewers per week for football's regular season. Per the linked article, the numbers next to each school indicate the average number of viewers per week for 2021 12-week season. Note that some schools which are looked down on by many actually pull in more viewers than some 'name' schools. BTW, for the Big 10, the rankings of average TV viewers tracks fairly close to average attendance rankings.
