With elite high school underclassmen signing letters of intent, are NIL payments next? Will Nike sign and pay high school players? What about the local car dealership and BBQ restaurant?

Do local school districts make an implicit profit off of top-rated athletic programs driving up housing prices and school board property taxes? Isn't ND's true profit off of thousands of Sorin Society donors and the $$$$ donors feted at games. So maybe it's not as big of a reach as it seems at first.
