Switching them to defense. Dave Waymer, Ted Burgmeier, Jim Browner. Browner starred in his first game as a freshman against Boston College at RB. Later that year another freshman named Jerome Heavens would star which allowed Browner to move to defense.

Didn’t know Jimmie started on offense as a frosh. My older

brother lived in Sorin when JB lived there. He said Browner was a physical specimen like he’d never seen before.
