"You're fucking awful" like he did tonight you're probably safe from the bench minor. Most referees don't mind when you say the call was awful, they don't want you to say THEY are awful.

It's never been Jackson's style to bench jockey referees much, and he almost never politics, like Bob Motzko asking the officials to review calls all the time.

I did watch him throw a water bottle all the way across the ice in the direction of a CCHA referee once and yell at him he wasn't even any good when he was just a linesman (memory says it was Keith Langseth).
