matchup with some things they did on the defensive end but we were pretty bad. I believe MSU at one point was 1-16 from the 3 point line and they had us on the ropes. With the injuries we have, it's okay to suggest we are no better than 15 other teams in the country. Even with a full roster, I thought we were probably a top 5 to 10 team. Take away our most dynamic player and a shooter and it's absolutely reasonable to be where we are. MSU was not a very good team and we were pushed to the brink.

MSU lost to SC 58-51 and lost to ND 53-48, MSU beat Tennessee 91-90, then beat #6 seed Creighton. So were the low scoring games good defense or poor offense? Or vice versa.

Seems they've had some highs and lows just as most teams do but I'm not embarrassed by beating them.

I'll leave any further debate alone because all that matters now is beating Maryland.
