Katlyn Gilbert Update
by MPG (2018-06-10 17:26:10)

She concluded her high school career in the annual Indiana vs Kentucky two game all star weekend. Kentucky won the first game on Friday by five points. Katlyn scored 13 points and had 6 rebounds. Indiana won the Saturday game by double digits as Katlyn was co-high scorer with 12 points. She added 6 rebounds and 3 steals. This report is based on a brief note in Sunday's SB Tribune.

Katlyn should be arriving on campus next weekend to begin her ND education and college basketball career. I think that we can count on her to be a consistent contributor on the court.

Thx! Looking Forward to Katlyn Joining the Irish...

These freshmen will have a summer and European trip to adjust to the team early. Should make them ready when the season actually starts.

has Abby and, more importantly, Jordan (because she would get a lot of point guard practice) missing the European trip for the U18 Americas trip and tournament.

The U 18 squad begins practices on July 20, so Abby

and Jordan will also miss the ND team practices that are allowed to be held right before leaving for Europe. The US team practices and competition will be good for them, but they will miss some valuable time with their ND teammates. Of course, Anaya Peoples will be with them on the US team, so they may form a virtual ND backcourt.
