That is why I am confused when a player like Jackie forgoes a year
to go pro. I just can not see the positive in doing that. Sure she can make
decent money overseas. But why should she have to. Owners need to get off
their high horses and pay these women properly.

...What is it going to take for them to open their eyes. Heaven forbid
something terrible has to happen for owners to get real.

...I have been to 24 different countries over the years. Not everyone
loves or respects americans. Playing in Turkey is not like playing in
New York. Apples and Oranges. My mistake rotten oranges.

...I have been following womens baskeball since the Louisiana Tech,
Immaculatta (sp) days. I even remember watching Myers from UCLA
and Nancy Lieberman. The quality of play has changed leaps and bounds
through the years. The passing, shooting, rebounding, cutting, fast breaks,
you name it and it is so much better. Do not want to take away from
yesterdays stars. The game is totally different and much more fun
and interesting to watch. Did not have web sites and boards to follow
and discuss your favorite team.

...That is a good question for board members who followed woemens
basketball way back then. What is your take on the differences, chances
and quality of basketball then and now. Just curious.
