We only lost by 2 points. However, if Cox didn’t leave the game the loss would have been double digits.

Muffet have put on the bench to give Patterson more playing time? In which game should she have done it? Baylor? Stanford? Which?

Was Dani a better player than Arike? Jackie? Bri, Jess, Marina?

Was the goal to win the National Champtinship or play second-team players? It has been argued
that Dani paid her dues. Had not all the first-team players paid more?

As Domer65 has aptly said, we were being beaten by a better (and hotter) team until Cox went down. We rallied and lost by a point. Sure I would have been delighted with the win. But it can be fairly said that Baylor deserved it. I was darn proud of our team.

I was not going to comment but the other half said to do it.

I disagree with what your post. I am not going to get into what I think was
wrong in the game. Who am I to question MM. She has been doing this for over
30 years. Me, no where near that.

...I will make comments about some of your points but not MM. Coaching is not
about just managing a game to win. You are making adjustments, counter
adjustments, making changes, rotation, keeping fresh players on the court
as much as you can. Timing, the right time to change plays, players, speed
of game, timeouts. It is also about developing. During the season practice
is not used for development per say. You are limited on practice time. So
that is what you are doing. Preparing for next game.

...You can always make adjustments of playing time without severely causing
in game difficulties. Been there done that. Both as a coach and player.

...When you get down by a large amount. A change of some sort is needed.
Not talking about the NC game. I was in plenty of games of the blowout
side. Either style of play, personnel, speed of game, types of play or
just flat out attitude. But something has to change. Or you have to do
something that will force the other team to change.

Again my comments were not to attack MM I would never do that. That would
be disrespectful on my part. Just making comments to your comments on
why you can not do things. But you can. Especially early in the game. You
have time to recover. Besides, coaches are not thinking at the moment but
a few plays are more down the road.

There done have fun.
