It Would Almost Have To Be, Given What She Said...

...in the article that the pickin's for bigs is pretty small on the grad transfer front. I remember a number of us were thinking (hoping) Fasoula might bid Vandy adieu, but that didn't happen.

The other things that caught my attention:
- the author referred to Sam Brunelle as a guard; and,
- MM is thinking up an offense appropriate for this year's personnel.

While I think Sam has got guard-like range on her jumper and can drive to the hoop better than given credit for, I still think of her as a small forward, to use an old-fashioned parlance. Likes to face the basket, but can do some damage in the lane and play some old-fashioned defense and rebound.

Plus, she can see the court and pass. Given her 6'2" height that will be beneficial. Now that Dani P. isn't here, just see her role as pivotal (nothing against Mik or Danielle C., but have not seen the hands and vision element yet).

Still, Anaya is another court leader and Abby knows her offenses. Look forward to see what MM comes up with ....

Yes, I see Sam Brunelle as a forward who will play a hybrid

position that will include some offensive time at the three point line and some time at a high post position. A fourth guard, such as Destinee Walker or Anaya Peoples, will also see time at that position. The rest of the offensive set should be three guards and a low post. The defense should include a mixture of zone and man. I like the defensive potential of the guards in either zone or man.

Agree that Peoples Will Play Multiple Roles....

..in the rotation, due to her ability to handle the rock, set up offenses, drive the lane, rebound and play awfully tough defense.

Based on your suggestion, that would probably place Danielle Cosgrove as Mik's back-up, which is right considering her lack of PT last year and Mik's propensity for picking up fouls. One thing that would be intersting on offense, though, is if MM pulls her out to shoot 3's, leaving the middle open for dribble penetration, back-door cuts and/or match-ups (Peoples? Sam?).

On Defense, Sniezek and Walker were known as good defenders. Adding them to Anaya and Abby should be excellent.

Are You Saying That We Have another Possible Jackie

on our Team.

...If it has not been figured out yet. I am pretty open about feelings
on a team and player. From watching her clips and reading the board.
To me, I am thinking another special player in Anya Peoples. Not to
jinx her. But with the talent already hear and coming. It sets her up
similar to Jackie. Now if there is mutual interest between MM and the 6-7
post from Texas that would be all me need. Except for Clark, Kelly, or
Westbeld.

...Sorry, my damaged brain did another fart on the name from Texas. Sorry,
my bust.
