Vaughn and Marshall are clear enough. It was expected that they would miss the start of the season due to recovery from surgery.

The other three raise more questions. I believe it was mentioned that Sam was battling tendinitis(?) in preseason.

I am unaware of any known issues with Katlyn or Amirah.

Covid would explain the secrecy but if players were out with Covid surely the games would be canceled.

UConn canceled games for a positive Covid test and it wasn't even a player or coach that tested positive.

I give up. The great ape makes a lot of sense. It sounds more like injury than Covid. So much for an injury free season. At least Sam doesn't have to play the post.
