Lucas Hernandez to Bayern for $85M Euro

This will occur January 1. I am perplexed by this move for Atletico as Lucas is an academy kid who has always been pretty clear about his desire to stay at Atletico. They do not have a replacement of his caliber on the squad and they have always been reluctant to chase high transfer fees. A head scratching move.

For Bayern, I think they are getting a fantastic and versatile defender who is only beginning to show what he can do on the field. He had a very good, if not great, world cup for the French.

If it's true (first report came from Marca so who knows)

It's a really good move for Bayern, and it hopefully means Boateng has more than one foot out the door.

Plus it's another solid backup behind Alaba. With Pavard coming in next summer, they'll have some versatility and depth between DM and the back line.

Also, this is nearly double Bayern's biggest transfer buy ever.

Think it's legit...

Uli/KHR just silent about it when asked, somethings up. This is one of those sneaky Tolisso type deals where you're like "Wow".

Now do this with a winger.
