VVD out the first match too, Lewa/Coman/James need to tear it up first match.

And Gnabry

I suppose it's possible Robben could be back and healthy, but unlikely.

Yes. There will be some interesting selections for sure.

Trent should be back in a couple of weeks. If he's healthy, he'll be an automatic start. Gini should be back as well. Klopp simply cannot help himself in starting Milner/Hendo/Gini as his midfield three. And that is a respectable lineup when you have VVD as cover. Instead he's looking at Lovren and Matip. Bayern's forwards would relish the opportunity. Fabinho would probably be preferable to Lovren.

Alternatively, Klopp could opt to shake things up with the 4-2-3-1 and play Hendo and Fabinho together. Defensively that falls into a 4-5-1 which would probably be a better idea without VVD. Then the question is whether he'd drop Gini for Shaqiri for the right wing.

At the end of the day, in the big matches you want your best players on the pitch. I'm guessing it's Fabinho for Lovren in his normal 4-3-3.
