While they have dominated the Bundesliga, Bayern has only won the UCL twice in the past 40 years.

2001 and 2013.

They had that great run in the 70s as well, and are one of the premier clubs in the history of Europe.

They haven’t owned the Champions League since the 70s

It sure seems like they have though in my memory. I think they were in 3 straight finals and my mind told me they won more than one.


They had some very good runs in the CL in the last 6-7 years

And probably would have won a second if not for 2 offside goals given against Madrid. Not that I'm bitter.

And I wasn't trying to slight Bayern, as I stated, they are one of the premier clubs in all of Europe. But dominating has a connotation to it, that I don't think fits Bayern.

But they've been one of the better most consistent clubs in the UCL. They have, however, dominated the Bundesliga.
