It sounds like he's staying at the club, but not as manager. He was so upset at how things went down with the coaching license issue that he doesn't trust the higher ups, but he's still staying on in an administrative role?

He asked to be named Technical Director as well, and was turned down. That's a rare move in Germany, as managers usually aren't given control over transfers.

And it sounds like he wants to stay on the board. Yes, it's pretty weird.
