Zack Steffen (Manchester City)
Christian Pulisic (Chelsea)
Weston McKennie (Juventus)
Sergiño Dest (Barcelona)
Tyler Adams (RB Leipzig)
Chris Richards (Bayern Munich)
Gio Reyna (Borussia Dortmund)
Ethan Horvath (Club Brugge)
America has NEVER had this level of quality. Hell, just Gio and Pulisic make this unprecedented.
Versus Freiburg.
I put it to you Greg!!!!
Konrad de la Fuente (Barcelona)
Reggie Cannon (Boavista)
Tim Weah (Lille) - he's finally fully fit
Even with dissatisfaction and/or doubts about Berhalter, it seems like he's still safely ensconced as coach. It's hard to believe we'll trip up against the CONCACAF minnows we have to play, and friendly defeats are easily explained away by the powers that be.
Ideally who or what sort of coach would knowledgeable people want for this opportunity. It seems like any MLS coach or coach of a mid-level team in a big league would be fair game. It seems Gregg tries to fit people to his system ("schematic advantage" we experienced in FB) rather than adapt to the talent.
Van Gaal, Koeman (after Barcelona fires him), Steve Bruce, Mark Warburton.
Honestly, I don't want anyone from MLS.
first two pots.
Messi v Cristiano in group play. PSG v ManU again. Bayern gets Atleti. Dortmund and Madrid with the most favorable draws thus far.
PSG/United/Leipzig.
United?
Better luck next year
Oh wait
you still have a chance on Monday.
On the whole, though, the groups came out pretty balanced this year.
