Callaghan will just be keeping the captain's chair warm until the real replacement is named.

Everyone seems to assume it's Marsch, but I don't know why they'd wait if that's the case.

That said, in the interim you get who you're gonna get. Hudson is a good guy and has been a model steward, but if got an opportunity no one should blame him for taking it. Nobody of note is going to want an incredibly temporary position.
