But I wonder is the USGA was disappointed by the crowds, or lack thereof. Also, it appears to me, as merely a television viewer, that ND needs to do some major work on the course if they want other championships; which they may not want.

About 30 more traps, about 300 more trees, narrower fairways, and tougher roughs would make the course more challenging. Of course this may not favor regular customers, so they could be satisfied with a very pretty course as is.
