Maybe top to bottom, the conference sucks. No one should complain about the quality of the top end. UVA was humiliated, but the rest have a pretty good showing.

That bad news is only UNC is a favorite this weekend and only by 4.5.

The Mountain West, an 11 team conference, had 6 bids

but only one make the Sweet 16. In fairness, 2 of their 6 bids were in the First Four, and 5 out of the 6 were seeded in the 8-11 range. The highest seeded Mountain West team, San Diego State at a 5, actually finished 5th in the regular season standings. Perhaps the ACC and Big East should have each received an extra bid.
