I like the inset portrait of 83 and 84. Maybe it’s because the late 70s and 80s were my peak collecting years, but i miss the old borders that they’ve since moved away from in the 2000s. Competition from Fleer and Donruss and then Upper Deck helped with pushing Topps to improve the card stock which was good, but I think the front design has become has become less interesting.
