Irish QB’s for a Cause

notre dame quarterbacks will gather for a charity event in Chicago

This summer, Notre Dame’s quarterback room will go on the road for a good cause. Or rather, causes, both near and dear to them.

On June 26th, join current and former Irish signal-callers Riley Leonard, C.J. Carr, Kenny Minchey, Blake Hebert, and Anthony Rezac at QB’s For a Cause. This event, in conjunction with the Notre Dame Club of Chicago, takes place from 6-9pm at Wintrust’s Grand Banking Hall, 231 S. LaSalle Street in the South Loop.

The evening is for the benefit of two charitable organizations:

  • Buy a Brick Foundation. We’ve talked about the Leonard family’s charitable effort before. His grandfather established the organization over 20 years ago to battle poverty in Zimbabwe by providing the infrastructure improvements that can better their lives. Through Spiritual, Agricultural, Medical, and Educational improvements, BaB empowers the people of Zimbabwe to drive meaningful changes in their country.
  • ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation. When C.J. Carr was 10 years old, he lost his little brother, Chad, to a deadly brain tumor called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). In 2015, the Carr family established the ChadTough Foundation to raise money for childhood brain cancer research, with an emphasis on DIPG. In 2021, they joined forces with another family on the same mission, and ChadTough Defeat DIPG was born.

Your $250 admission gives you access to a reception with food stations, inspired by the classic flavors of Chicago and game day favorites, accompanied by an open bar. For a $500 VIP ticket, you can participate in a pre-celebration event with celebrity guests, list to be determined. Regardless of ticket, you will support two worthy charities sponsored by ND players.

There are also sponsorship opportunities available. Three levels of sponsorship can provide your organization with preferred tables and VIP tickets for the event, along with recognition in the event communications and on its website.
