Cindy says:
Hey, in case you didn’t notice, the women’s team is projected to be a #1 seed.
Jacque says:
Cindy, we noticed but I would rather have the Women’s team never win a game again if it meant just one title for the Men’s team.
Cindy says:
Personally, I hope they both do well in the tournament.
Austin Bob says:
Jacque, I feel your pain. I have been pulling for the men to make an NCAA impact since I used to watch them in 1960 in the old fieldhouse. With a few exceptions, like 1978, they flame out, often losing to low seeded teams. Frankly, I have next to no confidence in the men or their coach to step up in March Madness. Even Digger for all his success, overcoached and ruined several great NCAA opportunities (don’t mention Danny Ainge please). Bottom line though, you sound like a bit of a sore male loser with this statement. The Notre Dame women are as much true Irish as anyone else, from Joe Montana on down. They deserve 100% support from all true ND fans and they have earned any accolades they receive. If the men ever start being coached like the women and playing like them, the drought will be over.
