(Notre Dame Football News) – Taylor Decker a 6’8″, 288 pound offensive lineman committed to Notre Dame over Wisconsin and Michigan. Decker is a long lean player who looks like he’ll need a year or two in the program before he sees the field. Decker is athletic enough to garner a basketball scholarship.

ESPN Grade ___ | Scout: *** | Rivals:
Hometown: Vandalia, OH | Butler High School
Height 6’8″ | Weight 288 lbs.
Bucknuts ranks him as a top ten player in Ohio (at least back in June.) Top 10 in Ohio.
Decker is a talented athlete in a big body. He is being recruited for football and basketball.
The O Report (I never heard of it before either) ranks him as the fourth best OL in Ohio:
Decker is the fourth five-star tackle in this class. The sooner he becomes a football player first, the sooner he will become the football player that he can be. I have him as a five-star but that has everything to do with his physical tools. He still has some work to do to catch up with Kalis, Dodson and McGowan as football players.

If he’s 6’8″ 288 lbs. and that’s “long and lean” goodness knows what he’ll look like when he’s grown.
Good work guys.
