The most exciting part of the NCAA tournament are the upsets that push favorites to the side and give hope to pool participants everywhere. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be able to cite any excitement for our first tournament week, but we still have two strong contenders vying for advancement to the next round.

Game 5

As much as I enjoyed reminding the world of the toolbag-ish-ness of Adolph Rupp, the Sweet 16 win carried the day. Appropriate.

Game 6

As much as I enjoyed seeing Boeheim’s face as Digger boogied over to him, the win over the top-ranked Orange carried the day. Also appropriate.

Week One Finals

Two rounds of voting, and the top two seeds will battle it out to make it beyond Sunday. Both opponents were ranked #1, but only one will still be talked about next week.
