We meet him in the beginning as the "Kingslayer," and then he "created" a future king with his push of Bran out the window in episode one. I wonder if GRRM knew he was going to end up king when he had him pushed out the window.

Where he was reading passages in the book that Brienne was writing in, and I believe the last one he read was about a Kingsguard who got the nickname “the kingmaker”. Don’t think that’s out of the question.
