Anything not bacon or sausage generally pale in comparison to the European counterparts. Our pigs are too damn lean.

agreed, and then there's Spanish ham

I've had it in Madrid...the cuts are paper thin and the ham melts in your mouth.

Great point you bring up. I don't like ham much. I do like bacon (who doesn't) But the ham in Madrid is fantastic
